Penelope's Biography
Penelope is a passionate diver whose journey began with a simple open water course in Sicily in2009, and grew into a lifelong love for exploration beneath the surface. Growing up in the cosmopolitan centre of Brussels, the ocean became the place where she could slow down, breathe, and find perspective. From recreational diving the stunning reefs in Bunaken, Indonesia, she progressed all the way to CCR diving wrecks in Malta, where she achieved her MOD 3 certification in 2024. Now comfortable on multiple units, you might find her in caves or flooded mines anywhere in the world, drawn to the challenge and peaceful beauty of environments that few people ever get to see.
Diving has taught Penelope more than just technical skills. It has given her patience, precision, and the ability to stay calm under pressure, qualities she carries with her into her life on land. As a lawyer, she navigates complex challenges with the same steady mindset she brings to demanding dives. Living in two very different worlds is challenging, but for Penelope, it’s exactly what makes life fulfilling: pushing her limits underwater while making a difference in her professional career.
Whether she’s descending into the depths on her rebreather or tackling a new legal case, Penelope approaches a problem with determination, curiosity, and joy. Diving, for Penelope, is about connection, discovery, and celebrating the freedom that comes with being underwater.
