Marissa's Biography
Marissa Eckert knew from her very first discover scuba dive that she wanted to become an instructor and share the beauty of the underwater world with others. A life-changing trip to the Florida springs led her to decide that becoming a cave instructor was her true path.
She believed that by showing others the beauty of the aquifer, they would be inspired to care aboutit.With this goal in mind, Marissa moved to Florida to pursue her dream. She became both a caveinstructor and a dive shop owner, spending 13 years teaching cave, technical, and rebreather divingwhile also developing her skills in underwater photography.
During those years, she travelled extensively, especially to the cenotes of Mexico, whenever possible. Today, Marissa calls Tulum, Mexico home. She continues to share her passion for diving through instruction, guiding, and photography, finding joy in inspiring others to experience and appreciate the underwater world
