Stella's BiographyStella Del Curto is an underwater photographer and technical diving instructor based in Switzerland.
Photography became a significant part of her life in 2005, when she bought her first DSLR camera. Two years later, she took her first steps into diving in the cold waters of Lake Maggiore. Bringing these two passions together was a natural evolution.
Today, she is a qualified diving instructor across recreational, technical, cave and closed-circuit rebreather (CCR) diving disciplines.
Over the years, she has developed a particular passion for photography in demanding environments - from caves and deep wrecks to reefs and walls at depth. These places require more than simply creating an image: they demand planning, awareness, technical skills and the ability to adapt.
Through her images, Stella aims to tell the stories of places usually hidden beneath the surface, and sometimes beneath the ground. From natural landscapes to traces of history, she explores seas, caves, rivers and lakes, looking for what is worth discovering and sharing.
For Stella, reliable equipment is an essential part of exploring challenging environments safely, allowing her to focus on what matters most: the dive, the experience and the images she brings back.
